0 say something

Here we go again...

Another strong typhoon hits Philippines third time but not that bad like Typhoon Ondoy & Pepeng. It was Saturday early morning Typhoon Santi traverse through Southern Tagalog region with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph and gustiness of 160 kph..We lived in San Pedro Laguna and we really experienced strong winds of Typhoon Santi this early morning. Although our place was high enough and was indeed in a good location, we never experienced floods in our area. Thank God!! It just made me realized how blessed we are!!!

But in the midst of typhoon, i still have to report in the office to do some important things!! Hay!! I need to travel from Laguna to Makati inspite of bad weather..poor me! hahaha..but that's life!!

As per PAGASA, typhoon Santi is expected to exit from the Philippine area of responsibility on Sunday afternoon. Hope to have a good weather tomorrow for All Saint's Day!!!!

Am I Really a Facebook Addict?!

.
0 say something

This morning while reading my emails, i saw this news about facebook addiction. And i can't help but really asked myself if am really addicted to facebook....it's hard to admit i know, but am GUILTY of that..am a Facebook addict!!!! hahaha :)

Psychologist Dr. Michael Fenichel, who has published numerous writings on FAD ( a new king of addiction-Facebook Addiction Disorder) online, describes it as a situation in which Facebook usage "overtakes" daily activities like waking up, getting dressed, using the telephone, or checking e-mail.

You are a Facebook addict if...

According to Joanna Lipari, a clinical psychologist at the University of California, Los Angeles who was interviewed for a CNN report, here are some signs that you are addicted to Facebook:

1. You lose sleep over Facebook. When using Facebook becomes a compulsion and you spend entire nights logged on to the site, causing you to become tired the next day.

2. You spend more than an hour a day on Facebook. Lipari said it is difficult to define how much is too much when it comes to Facebook usage, but that an average person need only spend half an hour on the site.

3. You become obsessed with old loves or exes you reconnect with on Facebook.

4. You ignore work in favor of Facebook. This means you do not do your job in order to sneak time on Facebook.

5. The thought of getting off Facebook leaves you in cold sweat. If you try going a day without Facebook and it causes you stress and anxiety, this means you need help.

Somehow on the lighter side, aside from blogging, Facebook really eases stress & tension @ work & sometimes even @ home. It helps me to have time for myself and to relax..sometimes we really felt tired from a day's work in the office then being a mommy to my two adorable but "super kulit" kids, and being a wife!!

Currently, am so addicted to Facebook applications such as Farmville & Cafe World!! By the way if you'd like you can add me up on FB..

See yah everyone & Happy Facebooking!!!!! :)

Health Alert: Drink Water on an Empty Stomach

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immediately after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven itsvalue. We publish below a description of use of water for our readers.For old and serious diseases as well as modern illnesses the watertreatment had been found successful by a Japanese medical society as a100% cure for the following diseases:

Headache, body ache, heart system, arthritis, fast heart beat,epilepsy, excess fatness, bronchitis asthma, TB, meningitis, kidneyand urine diseases, vomiting, gastritis, diarrhea, piles, diabetes,constipation, all eye diseases, womb, cancer and menstrual disorders,ear nose and throat diseases.

METHOD OF TREATMENT

1. As you wake up in the morning before brushing teeth, drink 4 x160ml glasses of water

2. Brush and clean the mouth but do not eat or drink anything for 45 minute

3. After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal

.4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drinkanything for 2 hours

5. Those who are old or sick and are unable to drink 4 glasses ofwater at the beginning may commence by taking little water andgradually increase it to 4 glasses per day.

6. The above method of treatment will cure diseases of the sick andothers can enjoy a healthy life.

The following list gives the number of days of treatment required tocure/control/reduce main diseases:

1. High Blood Pressure (30 days)

2. Gastric (10 days)

3. Diabetes (30 days)

4. Constipation (10 days)

5. Cancer (180 days)

6. TB (90 days)

7. Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment only for 3days in the 1st week, and from 2nd week onwards – daily.

This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencementof treatment you may have to urinate a few times.

It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routinework in our life. Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.This makes sense .. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with theirmeals ..not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habitwhile eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain...

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, thecold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed.It will slow down the digestion.Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and beabsorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line theintestine.Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best todrink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks:·

>>> Women should know that not every heart attack symptom isgoing to be the left arm hurting,·

>>> Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.·

>>> You may never have the first chest pain during the course ofa heart attack.·

>>> Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.·

>>> 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleepdo not wake up.·

>>> Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's becareful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we couldsurvive...

The Only Hope for the Philippines

'i was posting this message written by Fr. James Reuter S.J. i hope in my little way i could helped him spread his message for those Filipinos around the world. i hope we could learn from his message and love our country more!
By her own admission, GMA (Gloria Macapagal Arroyo) rightfully assessed that over the last decades; our republic has become one of the weakest, steadily left behind by its more progressive neighbors.' Forty years ago, we were only second to Japan in economic stature, and way ahead of Singapore , Hong Kong , Malaysia , and Thailand . Today, at our present growth rate, it will take us 30 years to get to where Thailand is.

1.. A population of 160 Million;

2. Of those, 70 to 90 million (equivalent to our current population) will live below the poverty line;

3. Our national debt is estimated to be at US$200B (compared to US$28B when Marcos fled, and US$53B today);

4... We will be competing, not against Thailand or even Vietnam , but against Bangladesh ;

5. We will be the most corrupt nation in Asia , if not in the world (we're already ranked 11th most corrupt nation by Transparency International) ..

The signs are clear. Our nation is headed towards an irreversible path of economic decline and moral decadence. It is not for lack of effort. We've seen many men and women of integrity in and out of government, NGOs, church groups & people's organization devote themselves to the task of nation-building, often times against insurmountable odds.

But not even two people's revolutions, bloodless as they may be, have made a dent in reversing this trend. At best, we have moved one step forward, but three steps backward.

We need a force far greater than our collective efforts, as a people, can ever hope to muster. It is time to move the battle to the spiritual realm... It's time to claim GOD's promise of healing of the land for His people. It's time to gather GOD's people on its knees to pray for the economic recovery and moral reformation of our nation

Is prayer really the answer? Before you dismiss this as just another rambling of a religious fanatic, I'd like you to consider some lessons we can glean from history.

England 's ascendancy to world power was preceded by the Reformation, a spiritual revival fueled by intense prayers.

The early American settlers built the foundation that would make it the most powerful nation today - a strong faith in GOD and a disciplined prayer life. Throughout its history, and especially at its major turning points, waves of revival and prayer movement swept across the land.

In recent times, we see Korea as a nation experiencing revival and in the process producing the largest Christian church in the world today, led by Rev. Paul Yongi Cho. No wonder it has emerged as a strong nation when other economies around it are faltering.

Even from a purely secular viewpoint, it makes a lot of sense. For here there is genuine humbling & seeking of GOD through prayer, moral reformation necessarily follows. And this, in turn, will lead to general prosperity. YES, we believe prayer can make a difference. It's our only hope

We have tried people power twice; in both cases, it fell short. Maybe it's time to try prayer power. GOD never fails. Is there hope? YES! We can rely on God's promise, but we have to do our part. If we humble ourselves and pray as a people, GOD will heal our land. By GOD's grace, we may yet see a better future for our children.

'If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land...'(2 Chronicles 7:14).

If you care for your children and grandchildren, PLEASE pass this on. .. ... Let's not just abandon the Philippines

after our dinner @ Italiannis
Last Saturday, I had a great night with my girlfriends. It was a post birthday celebration from my dear friend Shawie, which was currently working in Dubai. Since she was not here to celebrate her birthday last Sept 26, she sent money and deposited to my friend's account. MC, was the organizer for that evening and invited our friends way way back from Dela Rosa project, but unfortunately only four of us came- me, Aimee, MC & Marj. Although we're only four in the group, we really had a great bonding night.

Thanks Shawie for this treat!!!!
